Saturday morning would be great - Glen needs to be welding and I could really use a hand with the roof. As a bonus, if Glen gives you any lip, you can fasten him to the arena with the nail gun Laughing

XD And i will finally become one with the arena.

Well jobs i have lined up fer tommorow if anyone thinks they can help and are free.

* Need to cut the aluminium L bracket for the Light mounts and mount em to the lights
* I have to weld on the central beam mounts, line that up proper and drill the mounting holes x2
* Hand drill two holes for the floor to screw to (did the other 6 but the last pair have to be done by hand) 10 second job lol
* Slots need to get routed in the bumpers so they can sit flush
* i have to mill two holes in the corner bracket
* Then after that I'm thinking i will spend the rest of the day welding the roof tabs on so we can finish the roof on the day.

If we can get through that then i can finish the entire arena Sunday i reckon.

What about these slots in the bumpers? Do I need to bring a particular sized bit along?

Its for the bolts that hold the cross braces in, i wanted to have them countersunk but the metal is too thin for the m8 countersunks to sit flush.

SOOOO just putting some 3 or 4mm deep slots through the bottom of the beams will deal with that nicely. the heads are 13mm diam so 15-20mm routing bit should do it, if possible.

Yeah well if we get the roofing wood work and such done then we can tackle welding the roof tabs on with both welders, thatll make short work of it.

I need some more gas for my own stuff anyway Smile

So was there many robots coming? Sounds like slim pickings for now Sad

yep we need to make sure we get some robot numbers here...

maybe someone could contact dylon and see if we can convince him to come down - he had a decent beetle as i recall

also what about that new guy who was at serial space with that red spinner bot?

also what about those other two new guys who nearly always show up? i forget names - the Hugbot guys - they usually have something going?

Have we made a plan for getting the arena transported and set up? It probably takes about an hour to get the arena unpacked and set up well, so its going to need an early start.
