Yep it is a HK 6 or something. The $17 one AFAIK the all look pretty well exactly the same inside. I have pulled apart 3 so far. Few component differences but there is pretty much the same

I got 30min to look at this lastnight. (So damn busy) and I think was trying to write to the LCD but not sure what I was doing wrong. It was a library I found on the net so may have to write my own.

Hopefully get a bit of progress tonight if I happen to get some spare time.

Interesting.

I have been looking for a simple connect battery lead and balance plug then press start and walk away charger for a while now for life batteries.

Once my work project is up and going i need a dummy mans charger for the battery so people can use it with no life experience lol "pun"

Found one charger which you press start then looks like you press start a few more times to up the amps but might still be a bit much for some people lol.

I've got a LiFe charger that you just leave on and plug the battery in and it starts charging it, no buttons to press, just connecting the battery starts it charging. It has got variable current (using a pot) and auto detects the number of cells. It doesn't balance though.
I bought it a few years ago from Robot Marketplace, but they don't sell it anymore. The manufacturer still sells it from their online site (Astroflight).

Here is the link: http://www.astroflight.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=130&zenid=02632k8un640re1tgi6mgiprcug0ciq7 or goto www.astroflight.com and click on battery chargers.

Is is possible to re program a lipo charger to charge lifepo4?

On the same not is it possible to reprogram a lifepo4 charger a basic one button charger so that its permanently set to lifepo4 the correct cell count and max amps so its plug and play no selecting options.

Well it is already a LiFe charger. And yes that is the idea. Long way from the theory to actually execution. Shit keeps getting in the way haven't had time to play with this at all in last few weeks.

Not set in stone but looking at a 4s lifepo4 charger that balances.

Plug in no selection just auto charge.

Found some interesting pcb's on the market but still exploring options and might need to do some testing.
