Ditto, would like to make a a pressurised combustion one too, but i'd never have anywhere to fire it. They sound like bombs lol.

Anyway redid the pilot valve setup tonight. It's gone from 3 seconds from opening the valve to firing to more or less instant.

This valve is identical in design to the first one i posted about. The inlet port is in between the two o-rings which keeps the piston in place due to equal pressure/force in each direction. Manually pulling the valve open slightly allows the pressure flowing in from the inlet port to slam the valve all the way open, causing the pressure in the pilot area of the main valve to drop, firing that super quick. EASY AS THAT Laughing!

Turning the piston out of the leftover delrin. Being resourceful -

Old go kart axle and the piston. I really need to remake it because the axle is hardened and machines terribly. Though i might be able to hone it out enough to work perfectly.

Inlet port

Fishmouthed tube bits ready to weld

Nearly done

Dodgy install with a threaded pipe cap. Now i know it works i'll redo it all a lot better Razz Still have to make the "pull rod"

And a test. It fires as soon as you pull the pilot open. Success! Now to hone out the body and get that working 100% and i can pump this bitch up to 100psi and test it out at my mates property next week Smile
