Looks good guys, well done. You happy with the cnc mod? Have you finished it or is there still more to do? _________________ Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.

Its cutting the Z axis bearing blocks there.
so some more to do.
Then we should play with the rotary table ;->
4 axis ftw. _________________ Mechanical engineers build weapons, civil engineers build targets

Have you replaced the Z axis screw or are you using the original one? Rotatory table too, sick! _________________ Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.

Where did you source them from? I'm getting really sick of the backlash in my mill!
message him with what you want and he makes an auction with that in it.
we didn't use anti-backlash nuts, we got 2x normal nuts and used spring force to provide the tension.
You will also need an angular contact ball bearing set and another free floating bearing for the other end.
If all goes according to plan we will start selling conversion kits soon. _________________ Mechanical engineers build weapons, civil engineers build targets

Well that could be something I might be interested in. _________________ Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.

I'm just starting to read up about a CNC conversion for my mill. Did you not use anti-backlash to save money or has your setup got advantages over? _________________ Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.

We didn't trust the chinese version of anti-backlash.
plus this way should (hopefully) give us better anti-backlash with less friction than the odd sized ball way. _________________ Mechanical engineers build weapons, civil engineers build targets
