just getting beeping noises coming from my new brushless

Hi guys
Ok never played with brushless gear before. So I plugged in the motor and the esc battery and receiver
TY-P1 25Amp HEXFET® Brushless Speed Controller = $10.46
Turnigy 3648 Brushless Motor 1450kv = $26.75

and it just makes beeping noises with no movement at all....ive got it plugged into a 4s 1550 rhino lipo. It wasn't colour coordinated either so I tried a few combinations of the wires. I assumed the middle wire would be the same on both.

thanks for any suggestions....Im hoping this will drive the mower blade on out next robot.

ALRIGHT, a brushless ESC.

You have to plug them in with the transmitter stick all the way down. This is so the propeller on your rc plane doesnt spin up when you plug the battery in and hack your hand into a stump Razz

So make sure the trims are centered and you have the throttle stick all the way down.

I can see you're using channel 1 there which is almost 99.9% certainly the problem, so your radio would start with the channel "centered" or half way up not all the way down if you get what i mean. Try holding the stick all the way in one direction and see if it goes through the series of beeps i describe a bit further down.

next maybe the channel is the wrong way round (so the controller -THINKS- the stick is UP) so reverse that.

What you'll find when they work is that they will beep out depending on how many lipo cells you're using, so 4 times for your setup, then a short pause, and if the stick is down and it thinks its all good, give a long beep and you can spin it up.

Other problems can be that you have to program the controller for how many cells you are using manually. or if it doesnt detect a radio signal at all they beep really fast.

What combination of beeps are you getting Smile?

Hi Glen thanks for the info!
Its just making two beeps with a small gap between them constantly then if I fiddle with the controller it stops....I noticed when it makes the beep it feels like it wants to turn the motor.

Yeah that would be embarrassing having to explain to people you lost an arm to a RC chopper he he!

Oh ok got it...you were right Thanks Glen...you need to have the stick at the bottom on the trx....I had it on a two channel controller...so thats why it wasn't working.....Brushless.....they make such a cool noise and sounds like its got some grunt!!!!
