Hi guys..... this is the wire from some ancient servo. Im afraid to plug it into the receiver in case its the wrong order of wires(and it doesn't fit)....how do I work out which is which....one of the wires on the edge(at the bottom of pic) has a gray line up the length of it...is that normally positive or the red wire?

I plugged one in wrong once and it created smoke...so a bit afraid!

hmmm if its a normal servo lead plugging it in backwards shouldn't matter however by the sounds of it this is wrong. Usually one edge is GND, center is +V and other is SIGNAL. I would assume grey wire is signal though really no way to tell.

Got photos of controller board?
