Im not sure why we had it as 2 minutes. Angus and I just had a decent recollection of it being that long for uk ants.
Worked well enough for us, culling the tedious fights before they had a chance to become mind numbing in the hazard-less arena. The spinner fights never go beyond 2 minutes regardless so you might well just scale your batteries accordingly!
Yeah were just discussing it... basically decided 2min in the arena as is, but if it gets a pit for serial space we'll make it 3min with the pit opening in the last 1min as per what they do in Brisbane. _________________ ( •_•)
Actually I think the official RFL rules are 2min for smaller battles. Though this is in the Match Guidelines not rules IIRC and hasn't been updated since 2006.

There's some old footage i forgot about from the top down camera at this event. Thought id be cute to have a vid of the ants ricochetting off the walls and such Most if its rubbish cause the angle on the camera is stupidly narrow but theres a few funny tidbits in there. Set to the worlds most annoying song too just to complete the rubbishness of the vid -shameface-
Forgive any spelling mistakes. I was quite out of it during editing haha as if that wasn't obvious.
