I have 20 of each size coming in, so if any one is keen on Beta testing (relatively quickly) I'm sure we can organise something Smile

I'd be interested, have spare tz's/reciever/drill motors/gearboxes and the metal that went into mental b0t only cost 39 bucks ( however I did get a lot of help from miles and jules re:machining and the rest ) so it's time to have a crack at building another bot solo.

Cheers Tim

Damn it, they are "Still in transit"!
Hope they arrive today so I can get some photos up and some quick testing of my own done.

They 'feel' a little harder then 60A, but I'll get a colson side by side and do a squeeze test to see how they compare. The center hub is 20mm in diameter and has a 8mm bore, so boring them out to 12mm / 1/2" will still be fine and if we machine a 3/4" hex, it will basically remove the hub all together.

EDIT: To make the BotBitz wheels stand out from others on the market, we can get them coloured. Should we go with Red or Yellow? Smile

I would go with 'Sewer Snake Red' Smile. Its a bit disappointing that the hubs are so narrow, how hard is the plastic? If you drilled & keyed the hub to take a 1/2" shaft, it will need to be fairly tough or it will wear quickly.

The hub size is just their standard wheel design, so take it with a grain of salt Smile
If we do our production run (500+ wheels), we can get things like that changed on the mould. I'll have a crack at drill the holes out to 1/2" and cutting a keyway into them, this will allow me to slap them onto Knightrous Wedge quickly enough (Dewats = 1/2" keyed shaft) and see if the centers can handle that.

Sewer Snake Red is also my preference hehe Razz

If you can get the hubs moulded any size in a bulk order, go for around 35mm. With a 20mm hub, there will only be about a 2mm wall thickness where the key is. Getting the urethane tread moulded a bit flatter for more floor contact couldn't hurt either.

Should come up with some 'proprietary' colour for everything - like the Project Mu green/blue colour
