Like Angus said on the last page, those cells only have a max continuous discharge of 30A, which works out at 13C. That's pretty low for a modern spinner weapon + drive motors.

Did anyone end up finding A123's local if possible?

Only issue with this is I have been screwed by HK before and its not too long before the QLD event.

Edit. Clearly I have not spent enough on HK these days, Shows $18 each

You have to add them to your cart and the price will drop. I'd just get a lipo from aus warehouse to be honest, like stevo suggested. Smile

Thanks Angus, Did see that mentioned here but did not try it as I figured HK would have changed that by now. Yep $12/cell

I can not find any Lipo to fit from HK and only found one that may fit so far(See my build thread for a little more description), max length around 100mm, 2xA123 wide, 1x a123 high. 16-22v, Capacity from experience minimum 2000mah.

this http://www.modelflight.com.au/products/Thunder_Power_G6_Pro_Power_LiPo_2250MAH_3S_11_1V_65C-9534-38.html x2 or a similar one with 5 or 6S (yet to find in Aus. similar to Glens new one) is about my only LiPo options found to date.

If anyone knows a suitable battery pack with delivery within the next week or so would be appreciated.

Sounds like you have the same issue as me WRT size. Only thing i found was that g6 pack in terms of size.

Though for what you want to do with it id just buy a heap of super cheap a123s off ebay and use them almost sacrificially lol.

That or just buy lots of 3s lipolys and litter them around the robot. The potential for fire would be sensational Cool (do it do it do it) Razz

We got em from hk in 3 weeks. They always take about 3-5 days just to pack it in a box and take it to the post office...so annoying. But they are real quick if ya pay for express courier....ya get it in a week from Hong kong...probably cost $40 extra though.

Hahaha I have NFI,
I have had EMS take way longer then that with HK before, hell HK sometimes barely bother to post it by now. can not see how it came as the computer seams to think tracking information has not yet been added for reference HK gave me.
