I understand most people here would have a lathe and/or mill to build parts with, but I'm also sure there are some people who don't
I am a hobby machinist who might be able help out, I currently make aluminium and plastic parts for Nerf guns in my spare time.
Although I'm a robot newbie I have been machining parts as a hobby for a while. I can make custom parts in most materials e.g. plastic, aluminium, steel etc for builders who don't have the right machinery.
I have a mini lathe and a 4axis CNC bench mill.
Discuss..

I don't have any large machinery at the moment. I have a 10yo Taig mill with a 450mm table, flood coolant, timing belt driven, 550w motor. I can machine parts up to 300mm x 125mm. Thickest I've needed to machine is 15mm, the machine can cut much deeper. As I'm a total robotwars newbie I'm not sure how useful it is but their might be some specific parts some people might need
I plan to eventually get a much larger lathe and an oversized RF45 type mill

Custom nerf ey, got any examples of your work? The only mod i've ever done was to the automatic tommy 20 replacing the pathetic battery with a huge lipo. Awesome range, miss-fires constantly though... _________________ ( •_•)
we wouldn't buy one again, spend the cash making one out of epoxy granite or something, thats our next project.
Currently we are looking for a spindle as the gear drive system is crap, its giving us a really bad finish, and the bearings in it are just one set of tapered roller bearings that actually run on the casting.
Looking at the chinese spindles, but they are really not filling me with confidence when they say things like "please don't cut metal for a long time" _________________ Mechanical engineers build weapons, civil engineers build targets
