Tried a few short circuit tests with the 500mah lipolys. I was quite dissapointed when I was unable to get a fire in all the cases I tried. The solder, wires and eventually the tabs on the batteries all melted before I was able to get a fire.
So left on the testing list is puncturing or overcharging.
I dont think puncturing will cause a fire so really the only case is overcharging or charging a damaged battery. In order to mitigate the possibilities of this resulting in fire I would like to ask everyone to perform a visual inspection of there batteries before charging. If they appear puffy or cut/damaged do not charge. If you are unsure charge in one of the liposafe bags. I have 4 and will bring them along on the day.
Ok I can cut that out. Just a quick question are you sure that the base is 1200 x 1200 as the panels were 1220 IIRC. Is that cut out going to be the pit?

Have you thought of making it 1100 x 1100 and putting small walls around it? You could drop it in the existing arena and keep the bots off the bolts. _________________ So even the rain that falls isn't actually going to fill our dams and our river systems

The 2 bits of MDF on the origonal floor are 1200 x 600. The walls fit to the sides of it of the floor, so the internals should 1200 x 1200, +/- 2mm
The sketch I drew has 1200 +0, -5mm, so it should slide in with nothing needed to hold it to the walls, so no bolts to get in the way.
Well I don't any modded ones on me atm will need to make some when I get a chance. I can give you one which has electronics fried and you can pull out gears for nothing so you technically aren't "buying" anything.

When do you want to start fighting?
I grabbed some drinks and chips from work. Should I bring them in or would it cause problems with the Edge? We would need an esky with ice and some cups. _________________ So even the rain that falls isn't actually going to fill our dams and our river systems
