Next time someone explodes a pololu gearbox (the little square ones) any chance you could measure the bolt hole spacing on the front and also the weight of the motor alone.

Im thinking the tiny motor off them mated to the 16mm gearbox will be a good drive setup Smile given the stock motor is 10g alone and the gearbox is only 8 or so.

The HP motor is 6 grams. The holes are about 9 mm apart.

Hobby king now stock super micro rc systems. Anyone keen for flea-weights? That's 50g weight limit for those who don't know.

50g, that is insanity, on the upside you shouldn't have enough KE for serious damage.

Do you know much about the super micro system? Is there a standard servo signal coming from the receiver? Will a module fit into a HK-T6A?

Hobby king stock transmitter modules for futaba and JR. I couldn't tell if the receivers work with HK gear. Both receivers in stock have in built single cell brushless esc. The 4 channel rx outputs a signal to drive solenoids used to actuate control surfaces while the 5 channel rx outputs standard servo signals.

The flea weight is 75 g according to Robotwars101 . Is the 50 g from another standard?

Is there anything else I would need to program a B-328, other than the USB AVR programmer ? (And lots of advice from Marto.) I am thinking of getting a few while the AUD is still relatively high.

What voltage regulator should I use? It just has to power the Rx and servo at 5 - 6 volts. I want to get a smaller regulator (maybe surface mount) to use in ants. Lemming did tell me the dropout voltage to look for, but I have forgotten it.

Marto recommended Element14 online.

I just got this error message in Atmel Studio 6. What does it mean?

04:47:58: [ERROR] Failed to Retrieve the Version Information for the utilty C:\Program Files (x86)\Atmel\Atmel Studio 6.0\extensions\Atmel\AVRGCC\3.4.0.65\AVRToolchain\bin\avr-gcc.exe with arguments --version

I was following this example http://www.pololu.com/docs/0J36/3.b I don't know if I have installed it wrong or something else.

What are you doing when the error message appears?
Opening the software?
Compiling code?
Flashing hex file to B328?
