Do you need a speed controller for those Pololu motors Aaron? Thanks. _________________ Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.

If your prepare to fiddle, you might get away with using the servo boards out of a standard sized servo. You will need to replace the pot with resistors.

Looks like that one would control both motors and have a third channel for firing a solenoid, i think... _________________ Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.

Could a pneumatic launcher work in this class? Thanks.

Aaron said 250 psi max. So I guess I could pump up a chamber to 250 psi with a high pressure pump(i have that). Maybe using a schrader valve. _________________ Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.

Build a FP system and pressure test it. IMO, if it passes the same tests as other weight classes it is fine by me. _________________ So even the rain that falls isn't actually going to fill our dams and our river systems

OK next lazy question by me....
Is the standard spectrum receiver the lightest/smallest solution for ants(three channels needed)? Thanks. _________________ Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.

An idea from Matt (Jack the Flipper) from the RC racing club he goes to. The 2.4GHz radios have and antenna that is about 25mm (can someone check this as I am too lazy to do the 5 seconds of math needed) on the end of a bit of 100mm coax. Since they don't need excessive range the car guys cut the coax down to 30mm, strip the shield off the last 25mm to make an antenna (same length as original) and mount it inside the receiver case. Other option is to tape the new antenna to the side of the case.
Only thing I see with this is that 2.4GHz have 2 antennas that should be kept at least 1/4 wavelength apart (one antenna length). _________________ Get Some!!!
