After ordering quite a few parts with a need for them to arrive in a timely fashion from HK I though it might be worth starting a thread with my experiences.
So 80% the battle is getting them to ship the stuff. That has taken my like 21 days during the moving period down to 3 days last week.
Average time for airmail is about 6 - 7 days. HK post works on weekend so it usually doesn't matter if its week days until it gets to AUS.
Average time for EMS is about 3 - 4 days. Not that much more expensive but you get better tracking info and delivery locally happens within a day or two.
Best postage time I have had so far was last week with EMS got it tuesday after ordering late wednesday night the previous week. So 6 days.
Worst was like 35days with airmail.
Hope this helps some people Glen prolly has some stuff to add. _________________ Steven Martin

1 year + ago it was great. order and recieve the parts in < 1 week with air mail, and with EMS i believe it was only about 3 or 4 days from order to getting the parts as it was with the 3 radios i ordered.
lately its gone to hell, i ordered some rod ends and lipos and things and the time was absurd. i think it took over a week to process and 2 weeks till we got the parts.
they claim 48 hour shipping time again on their website so i ordered a cheap motor for laughs and 48 hours later its still processing. this should be worth a laugh
seems to me theyve just outgrown themselves, and getting a bad rep for it. hopefully they one day get back to their old ability because shipping times and the like then were quite good (for the most part) _________________ www.demon50s.com - Minimoto parts

haha to be honest i've never really had an issue with hobby king. My general rule is 2 weeks minimum which so far has served me well. Avoid anything back-ordered and just use normal shipping in case they get delayed, ems isn't worth it. Only difference for my orders I suppose would be their small size. _________________ ( •_•)

Have to agree with Angus, I just ordered a single item that was in stock and they shipped 18 hours later. It seems that the more you order, the longer they take to pack & send.

I'm with Angus and Nick, all of my orders over the past 3 years have arrived within 2 weeks of the order being placed. _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

With any overseas supplier, if you need it soon, you won't get it. My spektrum radio arrived the Monday after robowars after waiting almost 3 months. xD _________________ ( •_•)

Forget Hobbyking - I just ordered some tools from Little Machine Shop. They packed and shipped in 2.5 hours and with economy UPS, six heavy steel items cost $80 and they are already in customs after 2 days . LMS absolutely rocks!

I think their shipping may be slightly subsidized by their prices.
Having said that they do stock some cool stuff...
PS still waiting on that lipo XD it was shipped, but the tracking number is bogus ! _________________ ( •_•)
It's starting to look permanent for Hong Kong Post.
That means alot of small eBayers and other stores that dont have the capacity to ship out via private courier will be attempting time and time again to post their lipo's only to have them returned a week or two later.
You're going to see alot of HK/CN vendors stop selling Lipo's in the coming weeks/Months as they work out that it's not getting through.
We are now doing the following;
1) We have charged two private courier companies with the task of shipping our products out. Bypassing Hong Kong Post.\
2) We have already sent 2 containers of Lipoly to Germany and next week 1 container to Seattle (the location of our new warehouse to be).
3) Customers who buy Lipo from as now will have them shipped via the Private couriers.
4) In future you will have a greater selection of Lipo from USA (Seattle) or DE (Hamburg) warehouses.
5) We are changing tracking system pages this week and next to better reflect the new services.
In the end you're going to get your batteries at the same price, but with faster shipping and less customs issues.
So that's why my batteries were sent via swiss post ... XD _________________ ( •_•)
