It was used to transport open reel data tapes - it has a lining of 'egg crate' foam that can be stripped out if necessay

How many beetles can we count on for Saturday? So far, only Glenn seems to have one driving about, mine should be finished mid week (barring electronics disasters).

I probably can't bring Scissorhands as it is only 4 weeks to Robogames and its due for a complete overhaul & upgrade, will probably be in pieces for the next week or 2

I'm working towards it, had a tough weekend and have a busy week ahead of me, count me as 80% barring unforeseen circumstances.

yeah mine should be pretty well done tommorow. have to weld on a mount for a magic slider though. its a little front heavy Laughing (given the wedge weighs more then the robot half)

who'd have thought drilling so many 19mm x 3mm holes in steel would have resulted in so little weight loss. ugh

well the beetleweight comp has been run and won. nick 1st, angus 2nd me and jeamus tied for 3rd or something to that nature.

went about as well as expected from a first time ever event Very Happy nicks wedge was reliable and tough, if a little low on speed, carbine went well weapon wise even with the hacked up setup but had some trouble driving, anguses spinner had some trouble driving also and whitey whackers weapon was too slow and the belt fell off too much.

2nd round we should have alot more intense competition, i think most have learnt alot about building to that scale. i certainly have Very Happy cant wait for it!
