I don't need it yet. Just wondering if I should buy some new speedos and get it going for the competition too.

22 Kits good to go. All lined up against the wall so I think I am pretty ready for the weekend. Has been a massive job getting all this stuff ready so hopefully everything runs smoothly.

I am keen to hang around a bit afterwards at the edge and talk about the plans for the event. I don't think anyone involved in the planning will be there but I can show you where we are intending to put arena and what we need to do.

Are there any fridges available if I bring a few soft drinks?

Partially. I hope to get it going Saturday. Alex and I will bring it either fully or partly finished.

Should I bring anything? Tools, power cords, chips?

Where is the best spot to park? What time do we turn up?

Peasant isn't going yet. Last minute jobs always take longer than a minute.

Ah well I am just going to park in the one of the parking things under the Library / QPAC at southbank, though this is pretty darn expensive @ $14 for all day.

A slightly cheaper option would be to park @ QUT under the riverside express way which is $6 for max of 4hrs. Then walk across goodwill bridge or one of the other bridges to southbank. Not quite sure how much parking in the city is on the weekends.

There is also some parking along kangaroo point there if you are willing to walk a bit but I know these are 2hr max during the week not sure about weekend.

There is also the option of parking anywhere along the river and taking the citycat to southbank though this will take a while.

Workshop starts @ 2pm I will be round probably about 12 - 1pm to set everything up. So turn up anytime afterwards.

The exact location of the building is right on the river like behind the museum and across slightly from the library. There is only access from the second level not the top so be aware of that. Basically just head towards the library along the river and you will find it.

Well today went really well. I am completely screwed but it all seemed to come together. We had 20 new robots running around.

Thanks everyone who helped out.
Hopefully we should see some pics soon.
Now just need to recover, and get motivation for event.

Also on a side note 20+ HK radios running at once causes issues.

Steve

wrt the radios orly?
that would be helpful to elaborate on, most of the comps around are giving open book on 2.4ghz radios. So if you had trouble, somebody else probably will too.
