Vic Backyard Event

Figured I should start a new thread, as I have decided, finally, on a name for the arena.
I'll reveal it on the weekend, along with a new bot.
This event falls on Fathers-Day though I believe most of you are good to go.

Gates open at 10am, with event start at 12pm.

This will be a special event, as I am aiming for this to be played out as it would be a public event so we can look at having an event in a public venue in the summer.

I have invited the JJJ Hack team to cover this event; I have yet to hear from them. Only thought of it on Friday.

Lots of things competing for my time at the moment but will try and be there.

Started a small soccer bot and have one of the bots set up for tug of war, it’s a bit overweight for a feather but its just an experiment.

Not sure which feathers to prep as far as a comp?

I won't be able to make it. I've got other things organised. Last time I spoke to Neweyn, he said he wasn't able to make it either.

The Hack reporter got back to me today.
They want to cover a public event. So weather we get a side-tracked one going or my arena, we need a crowd and they will have us on their program at 530.

Hey guys, I havnt posted on the forum for a while, but there are a group of us from bendigo who are building a bot, (100% commited now thanks to a couple of sponsors =) ), although we havnt even been able to see an actual event yet, is there any chance we could tag along to this one?

@ Jtepper
you are most welcome to any event, hell i'll even shout you a snag this sunday, just for asking.
A good part of private event ( I use the term pirvate simply because it is at someones house, the event is a free for all, entry password is "boobies").
is a builders meeting. bring you bot or bits and we will provide as much help as we can, to get it in the arena, so we can, well, try and break it again Wink

remember, "boobies"

Starting to look like we wont get there, I am under a lot of pressure to make progress on a number of car projects I am involved in.

Looking to be a small one then.
the day will go ahead regardless. may turn out to be a builders meet, either way the arena will still be set up and the bbq will be a goer.
