Vic Backyard Event
Let' Try this again.
The Arena is finished and ready for a public event, but first I would like to invite everyone to a backyard event and BBQ here.
This will be a fun day, as I am planing on trying some new things out.
robot opperated pit, tug-o-war,ect..
Since there was only a few builders last weekend , I believe we could have the event in a few weeks.
The date I have planed for is
Sunday 28th Jun.
I'll do a bit of a call around for those who may not follow the forum much.
BYO Drinks, ill put on the Snaggs. _________________ Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.

I should be able to make it. I'll be able to bring 2 robots . Puncturer will be running a PRC using a 28X and 4 relays running on 26 drill nicads . The new robot just needs a top and to be weighed.

Just wondering if you have made a decision on flamethrowers? _________________ Satisfaction is proportional to effort and results.

Flame-Throwers will be fine for this one, as the arena will not have a roof on it.
Down the track we should look at defining the guidelines a little better for them.
We have seen some very dodgy flame bots in the past, mine included.
Potentially the most dangerous to build to, singed my eyebrows a few times I did. _________________ Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.

Uni has kicked me arround so i wont have my new bot done in time. ill hopefuly be sending the cads off monday so i wont even have the steel cut by then.
What would people prefer horizontal thwack, wedge or pathetic lifter if i can get it done for the day? Sorry i cant do better.
Will there be anything there that hits much harder then reboot? that would influence my decision _________________ Remember to trust me, I am an Engineer.
