I don't know wether I've said this before, but my dad thinks blacktown (and blacktown adjacent -> maryong) is a really evil place, and this is from someone who lived in zimbabwe for 4 years! He didn't approve of me taking my cheap yet still expensive electronics or even me catching the train there cause he thinks I'll get mugged! Laughing But don't get me wrong, he's been extremely supportive of my hobby so far Razz

awesome event, congrats to daniel for a well made robot, evil twin for being crazy and reliable, all round good matches, alot of action

rapture did alright

weopon proved itself t be effective, drive nippy as ever, shorted one cell in a a123 pack, rest of the cells seem fine so easy fix

bender got a hit on back end behind controllers which caved in the 10mm ali into both brushless controller and scorpion with damage so will be testing them during week, am sure there fixable

will be adapting rapture with different internal pieces for weight saving and rear tyre armour on back end and airgap for spinners

anguses robot literally breaking in two halves was fairly epic XD ohgod i hope someone got a good angle on that.

holding out for the high speed vids too. some of the ones i had a peek at on the highspeed cam looked awesome Very Happy

yes in all was a pretty good event.. Misfortune had its moments of chaos then the failing began.. After an "explosive" Razz fight with bender caused the bearing blocks to strip all the bolts, then eventually shattered into several pieces in the next fight against cobra.

..Im pretty sure Angus wins biggest fail of the year rofl.. best get cracking on that welding practice Razz

definately an awesome event, im stoked to have placed so well with what is essentially my first completed bot and 3rd event ever Smile

grats to the winning team, never really had much chance against bender; and i was fortunate to have evil twin (scissorhands) forfeit when i drew him or i wouldn't have even got that far!

Im currently uploading photos and i've started editing the videos i have, unfortunately just regular-speed but they are HD; so expect some large download links soon ;

between nick and me and rob and daniel and anyone else who was videoing i think we have it covered pretty thoroughly!
