Builders Meet at my place in Geelong on Sunday 22.
Sorry for the lack of definite notice. Too many things going on at the moment.
Thinking we can work out 240V situation, I will have a 25-meter lead to an 8-outlet board so that leaves 5 spares. We can work out power tools, I was thinking jigsaw, dreamel.
Also if anyone needs any help finishing things.
Also if anyone needs stuff transported there. _________________ Satisfaction is proportional to effort and results.

sounds good.
i like the idea of the jigsaw I was thinking of bringing a heatgun if i get it tagged.
I may have a power board that can get tagged its a couple of years old so ill have to test its RCD is fully functional.
Gary do u think u may be able to transport up a couple of ~400x70x18mm pieces of cutting? _________________ Remember to trust me, I am an Engineer.
I need to do a little shopping first thing so probably not before 11.00am.
Any time after then.
If you need a lift from Waurn ponds just give me a bell.
Matt will be home if you get here before I get back. _________________ Satisfaction is proportional to effort and results.

so does that mean that normal 4-6 outlet power boards aren't allowed?

I have plenty of tagged "no name" power boards at work; our sparky wouldn't certify them if they were not allowed.

My information is that power boards must be earth leakage types to be eligible for tags.
Perhaps this is new so there are still tagged ones out there on valid but however many month old tags, or perhaps there are differences from state to state.
Like U turns.

Possibility I might have a spare outlet from my board you can use Andrew.
Depending on how the other Vics are fixed for 240Volt power.
Otherwise there are apparently plenty of wall outlets if you use a long enough lead. _________________ Satisfaction is proportional to effort and results.

IN NSW at least, there are slightly different rules for different environments - Building sites are much more strict than IT data centres for instance. I will try to ask our sparky about it when he does my power board on Monday.

Just a suggestion, I know Neweyn offered to host a builder’s meet soon and I think it would be a good idea to get together as soon as possible.
Just won’t to mention that Sidetracked have moved the arena to a new spot where it can stay for the foreseeable future.
Barry is happy to let us use it pretty much any time for either full on events or one or two bots turning up for a bit of testing.
Just call first to check its OK and let them know your coming.
If we held the builders meet there it would be fine with him if we did a bit if testing etc in the arena.
Razing the floor and installing a pit is also a distinct possibility. _________________ Satisfaction is proportional to effort and results.
