The video is a bit dark for the first minute, then it gets better..

Notice the way it only takes them a few minutes to destroy hours of work.. Cars just arent built to handle the punishment combat bots get Smile

Cute Video, Sound and Redneck factor though.

They do bust it up kinda quick, although i think thats what they are trying to do,rather than fitting the car for combat. With no armor, strengthening of the chaises, or making the body as light as you could, cars do not like being rolled.

The question is, what would it take to make something last a fight?
I like the idea of an interchangeable control system for any car.

Keeping it simple, friction dive motor for the steering, servo under the bonnet for accelerator and one little ram for the brake.

How could you make a car tough enough to handle being rolled or flipped?

In the tradition of simplicity, I reckon a 2.5mt H channel adjustable frame or exoskeleton that you could weld to any car, to act like a big helmet.
