That's a sweet deal! Got any photos & dimensions? The beater I had made only cost $40 USD for the steel, then the waterjetting, machining, etc cost mega dollars
A powerful vertical beater would have a good chance against Flexo - go for it! _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

The 19th of July is locked in for the next event; do we want to set a date between then and Battleshed for a build & test day? I would definitely go to one and would like to test out the guts of a club bot I am knocking together. If it works OK, someone might like to take over and weld up a steel cover for it. _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

Yeah Glen mentioned a build day as well. How about this saturday? Gives us a chance to see how much work Jeff has done.
Flexo is all back together and had a quick run in the garage with the new spektrum. No more FM antenae sticking out the top of my robots. Hooray! So I'll get some driving practice on the build day and bring some stuff to work on one of my other bots. _________________ Farnsworth - "I hate these nerds. Driving practice, what's that? I should be able to make it, but probably not with much done on the club bot.
Small bot arena: I don't know where this got up to; I just found a stack of very nice steel panels, about 1000 by 800mm at work. They have a tough paint finish and folded edges so they are fairly strong. Two or four of these would make an excellent micro arena and they are free for the asking. They would need a wood backing for extra strength and that is about all. The good part about using them is that the arena would pack down into smaller, lighter parts for moving and storage.
I should be able to bring them along on the build day or the next event if we want to make a small arena. _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

Don't know if I can make this, will be just back from holidays. Would there be a spare seat with you Nick? If so then possibly...
Need to start work on my "active weapon" for yamum. It's been a long time since someone made a forklift, right? _________________ ( •_•)

Angus and I have some antweights, ill get back to building beetles one day, after blowing up the scorpion and seeing the drives arent in the best shape sort of put me off for a while until i find money and could be bothered replacing them _________________ Barton Robotics Youtube Channel:

I have the same problem as dylon - my drives are screwed and I broke the scorpion last build event. Will make one, but with my current income.. don't wait up. I do have my ant though. _________________ ( •_•)

Was there any progress on sourcing some sort of uniform parts? Jake may have mentioned this? _________________ Farnsworth - "I hate these nerds. Just because I'm stupider than them they think they're smarter than me."
