Has anyone built a combustion flipper? I was watching a bloke use a combustion nail gun and thought the principle would be good in a robot.

i imagine the fuel / air metering equipment would be prohibitive in the face of just using pneumatics. unless you wanted to use a carburettor or something to that degree Razz

I've looked into doing it, but it's pretty hard to get reliable air / fuel mixing - and getting enough power out of it without compression.

Andrew and I also looked into it. Andrew was working on some 2stroke idea, but with out forced compression, powah wouldn't have been worth it... The next idea was to much up to .22 blanks Razz
