Do you think these motors have a ring bearing around the bottom of the flux ring like the larger Scorpion motors do? It looks like they might but there is no mention on the product page. If there was a ring bearing, these motors would be great for a larger horizontal spinner.

Not that I can afford it, but rockby has a fluke 114F true RMS multimeter for $196 on their specials page. I like rockby, crappy looking website but good service. Laughing When it comes to multimeters you can't get much better..

Fluke meters are among the best but yet again the local sites are overcharging - is this slightly more affordable? http://www.jameco.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10001_10001_1537328_-1

I have bought a few things from Jameco and the shipping is fairly reasonable. They are particularly good for switching power supplies.

Heh nice, yeah I saw $200 or so was the average but that's a way better deal. Only worth it if you're using the thing 'a lot'

Some people are predicting the AUS dollar could reach 1.3 US cents... that would make things interesting. Shocked

cheapest name-brand Lipo packs on the web

I have been ordering Hyperion and ThunderPower Lipo packs from RC Lipos http://www.rclipos.com/ and I can recommend them as the cheapest for name-brand high discharge packs. Customer service has been excellent and when you combine competitive prices with free world-wide shipping, I really can't find anything better.

You can still get dirt cheap Chinese packs from HobbyKing, but if you want no-puff, high discharge packs, Thunderpower and Hyperion are still the top choice. After RobotMarketPlace accidentally left a post-it note in the box, I discovered that they use RC Lipos as their supplier, another good recommendation Smile

Yeah, I've run them in Kruger and Scarlet for ages, they work well and I've yet to have a problem with them. Although, I'm getting just as good as performance out of the Nanotech 160mah's so far and I don't even have balance leads on them >.>

Damn those pesky discharge wires! Laughing. Watch out for puffed packs; it doesn't matter how good a brand they were, puffing is the first step before a fire!

The web site isn't the best, but it allowed me to order with Paypal and the staff have updated me better than HK, RMP or anyone else so far, so they earn a bonus point in that regard.

Somewhat off topic...

But looking to upgrade horrible 5yo video camera to something decent so I can grab footage at events and for other things, need the following:

720, 1080p

Ability to take external stereo mic jack (need good sound... no inbuilt mono rubbish...)

Uses a reasonable memory card

Done loads of searching but it's useless, either find outdated models that arn't available or awesome models .... which arn't available. Evil or Very Mad

Best suited i've found so far is the Kodak Zi10. I found one 2nd hand on ebay, and that's about it. Crying or Very sad

Appreciate any assistance... Smile

EDIT: Forgot most important requirement, cheap! I don't care if it's a digital camera with HD movie function if it has the external mic capability... Laughing
