Vulgaris is repaired, packaged and ready to be send.

Kashei is repaired too. I hope the change to other gears helps.

Nice, the reaktors are much better than the ichargers they cloned, Still on the original 4x reaktors here at work vs 10 dead ichargers. Smile

Good news then.

Last we bought 3 120A HV Dlux ESC's from HK, and they fried on the first testrun with a lightly loaded Turnigy G160.

Pure warranty issue. Once the fried ESC's were at the UK center, it took exactly 1 day to get a refund.
Unfortunatly, it was in store credits. Hence the Quad Kore Reactor.

The charger is definitely worth having but its surprising you couldn't get the cash back. Over here, consumer protection laws basically force sellers to give a full refund for major faults and I would have guessed that the EU has just as tough rules. It might be worth Googling consumer rights next time.

Not worth the hassle in this case. We were planning to buy the Quad one of these days.

Main thing now is to find an ESC that can do the job of powering a G160 @10S

Do you know what happened to the Dlux controllers - was it straight-out overheating or couldn't they handle 10S properly? I like the Jeti ESCs but haven't tried them on high voltage.

One just burst in flames.
There is a YouTube review on those with the same result.

The other one just died. We didn't try the third one.

Wow, the factory definitely got something wrong when they cloned that design! Maybe its time to try a name-brand ESC?

Contemplating coughing up for 3 MGM compro's. But blowing €1000+ is a lot of dough, even for Team RCC.

You get what you pay for; those MGM compro ESCs are excellent. Have you looked at the Kontronik Kosmik 160 and 200 controllers? They may be cheaper and have similar features to the MGM controllers. They also have very strong cases, which the MGMs lack.

That Kontronik can be cheaper, but by no means it can be called cheap.

Still something to think about.
