Get Jake to CNC the antweight shell; you could vary the shell thickness so the teeth had a thicker wall to screw into.

Depends how thin you can make the shell - I never said it would be easy!

1 cut in half saucepan uhh i mean beetleweight shell >_>
all the reflections make an illusion oooo
planning with the left over stainless to make some rings and weld them or something to the inside of the shell to increase the wall thickness. and do note the top of the shell is about 2mm aluminium sandwiched between 2 bits of stainless,
would have had some of the frame done but i got called into work last minute so thatll be for either tomorrow or saturday, gots me another sheet of polycarb so all good to go _________________ Barton Robotics Youtube Channel:

frames all cut out and legoed together will add screws on monday and finish the rest off, hopefully hobbyking order will be here early next week so can give it a test spin without teeth.
what have you been cutting your polycarb out with? a scroll saw? _________________ <Patrician|Away> what does your robot do, sam

Will be a shame to see that sexy frame explode.
Nice idea with the bearings hmm will help you a lot. What burshless and friction wheel are you going with? _________________ ( •_•)
The bearings will help a lot ... until the shell gets even slightly out of shape. Really need a lip on it _________________ Steven Martin

i made something even better then a scroll saw.. annoying thing with them you can only cut so far before hitting the arm that holds the top of the blade.. so i basically made a table out of mdf and bolted a jigsaw to the bottom and bought extra long blades to cut thicker stuff.. ill grab a photo in a sec when the camera batteries charge.
the brushless i bought i got today and while its so cute its alot smaller then i realised.. like smaller then the motor i use in the antweight so will either give it a try and see what happens or get a different one..
anyway dunno if anything makes sense have had like hour and a half sleep and been at work for 12 hours im going to bed _________________ Barton Robotics Youtube Channel:
