The plan is coming together; 6 of the bots are ready to go into the arena, 3 need a little more work and one will stand by without an esc if needed, Minimower’s will swap in.

Personnel will consist or Rod Dave Mick and their camera guy whose name I cant remember for the Chronos team and Rob Matt and Myself for Rotwang Robotics. Matt has 2 helpers coming to.

Cup of tea and back to work. Smile

Ok all ready; just have to load everything in the van.

Funny how a couple of little details still takes all day.

At least I do get to sleep the night before an event these days. Smile

Big day out, lots of time in the arena for Rob and Matt to practice for Battelshed. Very Happy

I only tried to drive once in the Rumble at the end of the day and Rob took one of the tires ½ of Weasel jamming the drive about 3 seconds into the fight. Sad

Spent the rest of the day juggling chargers trying to keep the bots ready to fight.

Don’t think we took any significant damage, all the bots worked well, Frag had radio glitches with one of the old sets, IG took one of MiniMowers front skids off, Skellys drive shaft from the weapon motor to the right angle gear box broke, one of Bane’s wheels got a nasty cut from IG and one of the chain idlers came off Weasel.

Cheap day out apart from the price of fuel getting there and back.

Big thank you to Mark and Sidetracked for putting the day on.

A big thank's to everyone for a great day, special mention to Mark and Sidetracked and Gary for fielding 9 (i think it was) robots.

Damage wise, Mat had nothing to report with his new bot, I broke a fiberglass housing of one of the andrew mods so will be working to fix that before battleshed.

I did take a direct hit from fragmentor however so I suppose I should expect something to break.

I'm sure in time.
Sounds like fun! Did he get a direct hit on the mods? Shocked They really are better than anything else! Wish I was back there, I loved the robowars atmosphere. Ah well, next year! Cool

Shocked That was the absolute most carnage I've ever seen. FOUR spinners, a saw, flipper and rammer all in at ONCE!?
@Brett and Mel: Did you notice a kid sitting near you on the seats? That was me Smile

This is the match review list, as it appeared on the Robowars Whiteboard:
( bold denotes win, * denotes no decision)

Ballistic vs Black & White
6x7 vs Bane
Mini-Mower vs Weasel
Bender vs Akai VCR
Reboot vs The Two Printers
6x7 vs Fragmenter
Inspector General vs The Remains of the Two Printers
Bane vs. Inspector General *
Ballistic vs Skeletor
Fragmenter vs The Arena Floor
The "Don't Wreck Each Other, Wreck Everything Else" Annihilator:
Inspector General and Scoopy Doo were the only two robots operating at the end of the match.

In an interesting side note, nobody elected to take on Scoopy in a grudge match...

What a great day! Many thanks to Mark and Sidetracked.

Also to the Chronos crew who spent the day filming and interviewing everybody - much fun guy's, thanks.

Great to see Andrew W's bot coming along nicely!

Mr Travis - you made my day - thankyou for your interest in the sport, making the effort to come along and subsequent postings herin. Very Happy

The melee was a fantastic hoot ! l can't wait to see a replay of that one. It was just super smiles for me from beginning to end and of course Mark's comment at the end, was just priceless !

For Scoopy Doo, it was an emotional day indeed. Crying or Very sad Not because there were no takers for a grudge ( you can't blame them....with the big Battleshed event on the horizon ), but because it was her last day out with her mum. (l'm even getting a bit teary now just writing about it.) But it's time for her to 'move on' to a new owner. Final details of her sale and what goes with her, is currently under consideration.

We had a memorable last day together. Thankyou to ALL.

Love and Sunshine as always, it's been great. Mel xox

Edit: Sorry Robodamien, no...we didn't notice you. Wish we had though, why didn't you say Hello??

Sounds like there should be some great video coming from this event. I'll make some time in my holidays with the volume on full Very Happy .

@ Mel: Are you announcing your retirement, or is there another terrifying design on the way?
