Robowars Exhibition Event at Sidetracked

June 11 Queens Birthday public holidays in Vic

Running for around 8 hrs at the rate of a fight or demo event of 3 minutes every ¼ hr.

Set up time was I think 10.30 am. Start at 11.00 am?

No entry fee. No prise money.

Please email Mark mark@sidetracked.com.au To let him know your attending and how many bots your brining.

Arena will be set up in same position as last event. No charge for spectators.

Bring something to smash up, lots cheaper than wrecking our bots for fillers. Smile

Just touched base with Dave Chronos.

As Mark the regular camera guy wasn’t going to cover this event the Chronos team have offered to bring there big studio camera and take care of taping the fights.

They are keen to get plenty of interview and footage of the thrashing in the pits as well so be prepared to ham it up. Cool

If any of those details in the first post need adjusting feel free to pm me and I will edit them.

So far between the Rotwang and Chronos bots we are looking at fronting with Arena sweeper, Bane 2, Ultidrum, Reboot, Bender, Minimower, Rat, Weasel, Ballistic and Skeletor.

KO-Tim is in brisbane that weekend, but Rick & Vincent are a possibility if he can get time to replace Vincents burned out wiring harness.

Anyone talked to Danny recently ?

I should have my robot ready. I will be able to bring my mechano bot as a filler. I'll bring my LCD screen as well, and this time I will bring all the power adaptors Smile

Coming up short on ESC’s to get everything I wont going.

Fragmentor is probably going to replace The Stainless Steel Rat.

Skeletor’s IBCX is playing up, its been through a lot running big series motors in Lawnmower in the past.

So he is in doubt but if Frag is there you will still need your Scoopie hats.Smile

Scoopy Doo will be there in exhibition mode, but still, she can't usually resist a challange, so if you think you're worthy..... Very Happy

Wow...looks like a pretty big day ahead. Approx 18 robots to attend! Laughing for this 'local only' event. What an awsome robotic state Vic is!!

I'm an amateur radio DJ from Melbourne. Can I host the interviews? You know, avoiding any bias? I was at the Nationals earlier this year and really enjoyed it. I'll do it for free... pretty please? Email me.

Hi Travis, I checked with the Chronos crew. They seem to think they have everything sorted but they would be happy to meet with you there and have a chat and try a few things.

That’s where this exhibition event has advantages; the builders are not going to be stressing with prize money and ranking pressures etc, plenty of time to experiment.

I am trying to get Dave Mick and co of the Chronos team to get active on the Forum so they can work these sort of details out.

Hi Travis,

You are most welcome to come along and interview / speak with, whom ever you like.

If you dont have your own equipment, pm me and we'll sort something out.

Also, to everybody, I have a bunch of photos of the '07 Nationals (130 or so), and anybody who wants a CD copy can PM or email me so I know how many copies to bring.
