i have tried to wire up my beetle but i had the drive working but then i rewired it cause it was getting too messy, now i only get one motor turning and cant get the weapon going, i have wired it up to a relay but when i go to controller the weapon the scorpion's aux led comes on but no motor spinning
if anyone could help me out would be good _________________ Barton Robotics Youtube Channel:

If you post a wiring diagram, it helps us trace errors. After drawing it all out, you may even be able to spot the error yourself

well the motor is two wires so no help can be given there
wrt the relay they have diagrams on them with numbers, 86, 85, 87a, 87 and 30 usually. the 85 and 86 are for the "coil" you put 12v power on that and the relay clicks on. if the scorpion is like the ibc then generally you put one side of that coil to power and the other side runs to the auxillary (which is called open collector to ground usually or something to that degree). this means when you turn the aux on it opens a connection to negative.. completing the circuit allowing power to the relay and thus it turns on.
now 30 is common terminal. there will always be a connection on that pin. 87a IIRC is called the Normally closed. meaning that with no power on the relay there will be a connection from common to NC or normall closed.
87 is normally open. so with no power on the relay there is no connection between C and NO. only when power is applied to the coil to turn it on. generally youd just make yourself a circuit between the batteries and motor. cut a wire somewhere in that circuit and put one end of the wire to 87 and the other to 30. simple
edit - looks like its a pwn output.. youll probably then find the aux output should go straight to 85 and 86 on the relay and will only work when the stick is most of the way up.
according to the manual too you need to have the stick down before the thing works.. worse case plug it into another channel and see what happens. _________________ www.demon50s.com - Minimoto parts

looks OK to me , double check all connections are tight and not shorting to each other.
check your servo leads are in the correct way
check your main battery(and receiver battery if used ) isn't discharged or hasn't got any
damaged cells etc and are also at full rated voltage .

well i worked out y one of the drive motors doesnt go, the motor just doesnt seem to work so gonna have to get a new one, and the weapon motor has me puzzled i had it working for like 10mins then it just stopped and wouldnt work again, would only using 7.2v in a 12v relay matter or would i need it at 12v for it to work
Edit: i set the controller stick full throttle and the relay makes a click and the scorpion's power light flickers _________________ Barton Robotics Youtube Channel:

if your bat pack is ful charged it might work for a little while until the motor drops the cell voltage down then the relay will drop out you might need to find a 6 volt relay
