"IF" Jolt can go a full 3 mins attacking my anvil without breaking something, I'll give Nick $20 I reckon the teeth on Jolt would be the first thing to break.. We've seen that happen a fair bit before _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

hehe well Nick can adjust the power of the mag now for different situations, so I am betting on Jolt. hehe even if he just rams it he wins on agression!

Seriously, havn't we de-railed Roadkill's thread enough?
Since anvils are solid the wheels would have to be on the outside and I will just wedge it up & knock them off on low power.
@ Prong: since you were thinking about a NIB magnet attack for Jolt. how about using it on Roadkill & Cobra? I'm imagining something like the mag pickup cranes you see in junk yards... I will even donate the magnets! _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

How about a "weapons & counter-measures I'd like to see" thread? Its getting embarassing to hear the J-word mentioned so much ! _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

The design strategy is one of the aspects of our sport that I really enjoy, trying to come up with something that has a chance of winning a fight.
That means of corse looking and thinking about what the potential opponents are up to.
One side effect of designing a bot to fight the likes of Jolt with our new bot Bender is that we have a combination that we think is in with a chance against Jolt but will be a chew toy for Pincher.
I suppose the good thing about that is we might loose a fight to Poochie no damage done but if we lost to Jolt we would have rather more work to do before we would be ready to fight again.
As far as Jolt facing flippers Ballistic is semi retired and won’t be competing at Robowars.
We have a replacement starting to come together in POP form, smaller with thicker skin but it is a long way off.
As far as attacking Jolt with a hammer bot goes forget that. Ok Shunt killed Hipnodisc with a lucky shot but I would not be anxious to try it.
I have a third generation hammer as the start of a POP and it is one strategy that I am still keen on making work properly in a feather but that’s a long way off to.
