I am currently looking parts to make it work. As far as I can tell the machine seems to be in working order. I haven't had a chance to pull it apart yet but from what i can tell it seems ok.
I have the service manuals and parts lists and so I think I should be able to get it going.
I have plugged it in but without CO2 or water it doesnt do much. I have considered bypassing the CO2 and using it uncarbonated but I am not yet sure if this could be done.
I was wondering if anyone could help me with CO2 regulator information. I have currently been looking at home brew equipment which seems to be the best bet for most of the stuff (Eg. syrup kegs and connectors) but I have not been able to source a regulator. I need a regulator that can supply 80 - 100psi but the beer regulators max out at 60psi. Micromatic make one but they do not have any retailers that stock it in australia. If anyone knows where to source something to do the job in Australia could you let me know.
I have found a few online retailers in the US which will ship suitable regulators internationally but I am unsure of the standards and whether the threads are the same.
In hind sight it is going to be a lot more effort than I thought but I have a feeling I will be drinking a lot of Slurpees next summer.[/url] _________________ Steven Martin

I have a CO2 reg that is missing the nut. The output gauge goes up to 6 bar (little less than 90psi). I was thinking of using it for a heavy weight but my plans have changed so it is not being used. Have a look at the next event if you want.
What possessed you to bid on that anyway? _________________ Get Some!!!

Of course but increasing the alcohol will decrease the freezing temp. Which could cause issues.
I reckon dilute the syrup with vodka in the syrup canisters and increase the BRIX to give it about 5% content should work but might have to adjust the temperature down a bit as well.
Way ahead of you aaron. _________________ Steven Martin

Does anyone know where I can purchase dual gauge pressure regulator that will go up to 110psi? I haven't found anything suitable yet in Australia.
Micromatic US sell the regulator I need and I can order it for around $200 with a heap of extra fittings and stuff which is pretty cheap however I don't know exactly what the thread is or whether I will be able to get an adaptor for a standard tank. I assume this would be a problem faced by they guys using CO2 flippers and I was wondering if you could help me out.
Yeh regulators safety release triggers @ around 60psi.
I have one. I have considered removing the safety valve but not sure whether that is a good idea. Another idea was to change over the connectors that go into the regulator body if they are the same thread so differing tank threads is not an issue. _________________ Steven Martin

Removing the safety valve should not be a problem as it would be there to protect the plumbing you connect to the reg. Since the reg potentially has 1000+ psi fed into it the body of the reg should take the pressure. _________________ Get Some!!!
