Marayong Season 6, Round 2 - June 6th
Marayong Season 6, Round 2 - June 6th
We originally had round 2 down for 06/06, only 4 weeks away - how are people placed for that? I have no idea when Scissorhands will be running again so I am working on a trail MDF bot, which might be ready for this event.
im doing so major revamping, but ill be aiming to be ready for this date

slowly getting orbit sorted, should have it done in under two weeks i hope
will be a massive wuss and have a anti spinner setup for majority of spinners, im sick of spending weeks fixing this thing after a good bashing so will play defense when need be and offensive when possible
wanan put this aside after this event ready to go and start another robot _________________ Andrew Welch, Team Unconventional Robotics

Ahahaha, it's all fun and games until you end up on the receiving end of a spinner _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

nah id gladly run foolishly into ye ole massive horizontal and see who explodes first if i had more time these days but i seem to be having lesser and lesser of it
Wanna do next design, powerful robot with a overhead hammer or forward hinged electric thrower
sorta off spinners for a tad so wanna have orbit done and then not worry about it for a bit so i can knock this thing together and then i can pick and choose and not stress repairing/fixing up the same ol robot all the time. _________________ Andrew Welch, Team Unconventional Robotics

Hows peoples going? It's only about 2 weeks away. To be honest I might be stuck having a wood bot in time and reaver will be ultra crap, as all the work for uni is due that friday
Are we wanting to run the mdf bots with the other ones on the same day though? Maybe we could host an mdf event day? I would imagine they will need lots of repair time and make quite a mess, just a thought. _________________ ( •_•)

Barring a miracle, Scissorhands is still out until the steel weapon shaft arrives - I am beginning to think about testing the bent Ti ones to see if one is still usable. I have only just started building the MDF bot, it definitely won't be ready.

Slight hitch with the planners plans for the robot future.
Last Friday (22nd), Russell fell at a construction site and basically destroyed his right shoulder.
They have rebuilt him but unfortunately the doctors watched scrubs rather than bionic man and its not better than before. That said they seem to have a pretty good job as far as doctors in the real world go and he is predicted to get at least 50% use back in his arm.
He is currently at RPA and will be till at least monday probably Tuesday, If anybody feels like dropping in let me know. (0412897125)
We don't know if he will be able to attend the next event at all, he isn't allowed to move his arm at all until the tendons they have re-attached start to grow in. But he may be able to manage a visit to the one after that.
I should still be able to come and help run things, but probably no bot for a while, I'll bring our MDF one and I'll see about running that. _________________ Mechanical engineers build weapons, civil engineers build targets

Erk that aint good at all! Send my best regards to him!
Though not nearly as impressive a reason i've got simply too much uni work due this coming week to make a show Maybe possibly, but not likely.. Shame because after that it's holidays for 7 weeks. _________________ ( •_•)
