I am organising a Human Robot Ball at Vivid this year

and I was wondering whether any of the Robowars fighting robots might like to take the night off, don a bowtie or tiara and join us at the ball to meet the public and maybe even do some dancing!
This sounds like an awesome event! I would consider it, but I'd be a little worried about safety. Generally you don't want these things switched on anywhere near a human. Even with the weapons disabled you've got 13kg of steel moving at high speed at shin height. What are your thoughts in that department?

Safety concerns
Great question Chunkulator!
So we have a HUGE room for the ball, so we can secure an area which is for robots only. I will also have a number of staff there on the day to 'police'/ chaperone the human robot interactions.
But I'm also really happy to work with you to make sure that your robot (and the humans) are kept safe, so whatever arrangements you might need we can make that happen.
I would also suggest that a lot of these robots are not floor-friendly. Rubber skid marks from the wheels at the least, gouges from metal frame parts digging in at the worst.
However I do like balls and I have 'vivided' up my bot with some RGB leds...
