Sweet prizes; Mr Mangle will be defending his crown so bring your A game Razz

Quick question: if there are spare places, is it possible to bring two featherweights?

I'm still around in Canberra, been flat out with uni first semester but on break now so have time to help with anything you may need Steve, just let me know. I'm also going to start on the Beetleweight arena again over the next couple weeks. Since I'm working on that I most likely won't field a robot this year. Definitely will be attending regardless, looks exciting!

Entries are starting to pile in. We are up to 22 robots which is a pretty good start. Lots of sportsman and feathers still missing a few regulars from last years comp.

Vivid was up to 12 from 8 this year. Lets see if we can break the 32 could we had at nats last year.

Hi All,

If you intend to apply for sponsorship just a reminder to do it before this weekend. As I am going to start reviewing and allocating.

I am currently building my first feather weight bot (getting ready for this event).

The bot will have an arduino brain on board to do mixing and send control signals to the motor drivers.

I currently have 2 options available to me for sending signals to that arduino, using a conventional Rx Tx set up (the basic hobby king transmitter - 6c receiver combo) and a pure arduino based system which communicates using 2.4 Ghz transceivers (Nrf2401).

As far as I am currently aware both systems are legal. the arduino system is a digital 2.4 Ghz link which looks to line up with the rules.

Have many people tried a pure arduino approach?
Has there been an official ruling on this type of control system?
