Hey all,

Was wondering if anybody knew of any sources of hammerdrills or parts for cheap, or even just rs 775 motors that could handle 24 volts.

Trying to get a real early start for the camberra event in case life throws me alot of curveballs last minute.

Will have a sportsman done definitely, will look at what i have and re-start that again, but mainly want to get things started to where i can re-start warning.

Its in a state to where the work will be minimal to gurantee one entry at least.

Thanks in advance

Can't help you with cheap hammer drills other than suggest browsing AliExpress or a similar Chinese site. How about using the Turnigy XK-3665 brushless motors that Glen used in Decimator? They definitely run on a 6S battery, can be controlled with a TZ85 and should last WAY longer than a brushed 775 motor, so they will be cheaper in the long run. I'd be happy to make adapter plates to fit them to a gearbox for you.

Decimator just uses TZ85 controllers with new firmware and it drives pretty well with 16:1 gearboxes. If you used drill gearboxes with a higher reduction, the low speed steering will be even smoother. I'm sure that someone can do the firmware update; I have the programme but haven't needed to use it yet.
