Can't help you Wealch. That was never a feat I managed to achieve I remberber it was painful and te NMO took a while to configure mine once.

Has anyone ever purchased the 18v ozito hamer drill from bunnings?
If so, can you describe the internals?
It comes with 2 nicad batteries. Phone won't let me post links.

Also, anyone purchased the ozito 14.4v drill? If so, could you describe the internals?

thats the one i got. yep sensorless…..i guess if thats the case its better to go sensored next time…though I'm sure daniels brushless drives arent sensored and they couldn't have a delay like this. Sad

I just realised my Trackstar programming card is in my tool kit, under the battery chargers, which you currently are looking after. I think it has instructions on the back. Since you currently have my tool kit I can't stop you playing with it Wink

Hey,

curious on these things

In theory if you stuck a wheel on it would it have anough balls to push around a beetleweight?

They seem fair low rpm/high torque.

Thanks

gimbals have been used before, it might be worth an experiment.

With a KV of 42 and max 12V rating they will only be running at 504 RPM (no load); is that fast enough? Or are you planning to turn them into motor hub wheels?

Was just more thinking a compact reliable drive for a beetle. A design sporting a drum etc maybe, attach wheel direct to motor, keeps things compact

Expensive tho at 30-40 a motor but if reliable enough

Those gimbal motors are a lot like the multi-rotor ones I am testing. They have no external shaft so you will need to fit a longer one. I really wouldn't recommend screwing a wheel directly to the back of the motor as the shell looks quite delicate.

So looking into getting one of these, seen videos online from people ordering the ali baba one and seems good, got 36 volts worth of batteries prob lithium cells, motors seem gutsy as hell. Maybe a solid drivetrain for robots etc

Im sorta curious whats inside it and maybe look into modding it for power assist for Kristys wheelchair

Had a go on those at the gadget show, quite liked it Smile No chance it could move a wheelchair, i think the weight limit was pretty low and it wasn't particularly powerful at all.

if it can move an average 80-100 kg person around then......

pushing a platform with wheels doesnt take much effort

Worst case i might still get one for fun, i want to see how the drives work because they must be fair powerful to push a person around all day

Cheap featherweight, buy one, get powerful drives and wheels plus a battery pack Smile
