Has anyone taken advantage of the blow-out sale at Hobbyking yet? I just saved $100 on a pair of A-spec Lipo packs by using the sale plus the 'one time only' price Very Happy

BotBitz has a wholesale account with HobbyKing and they give pretty good prices, but requires us to do $2k minimum orders Smile

If they are new packs you never used before, make sure you wait for the one-time price. I am sure I already looked at the packs I bought and HK still gave me the better price after 5 minutes.

The one time price is the same or slightly more than all the prices on a Platinum account Wink

Did you get one of the radios with a built-in gyro? After reading the manuals, all the ones I checked only failsafe on the throttle, which is very disappointing!

I got the standard t-six radio in the end, you can buy the gyro plug in module however for $20, will give it a try for the nats maybe.

Was dead set on the new spektrum dx3 but horizon reckons it can't do tank mixing like the older one, so that's a shame Crying or Very sad

With the AUD$ taking a dump lately, I was expecting to see various prices on some useful parts increase. However while chasing potential new parts for a robot, I found that there is still a cheap source for winch motors!

$79 + $11 shipping from Sydney.

150psi Compressors from Kmart for $25.
They are big and chunky with a motor the size of a scooter motor, but would more aggressively.

Still need to test rpm, stall and weight of the unit, but it could be a good alternative to the scooter motors/budget drills
