Yo,

Playing about with epoxies and microballoons for filling in the gaps between the motor magnets. The tub instructs a ratio of up to 3:1 and recommends 1:1.

But of what? Weight or volume? 1:1 weight would result in a rather huge amount of microballoons, but that might work because it seems you can add a bunch of it into the mix without it failing to harden. Volume obviously is a little tricky to meter out. I've just been adding it in slowly until it won't sag off the end of a mixing stick. Something more measurable though would put me more at ease Razz

Cheers.

It could be weight - several epoxies I have are mixed by weight as its more accurate that way. I know that with epoxy concrete, the aim is to get as little epoxy as possible in the mix and still have the filler stick together, so a large ratio by weight of micro balloons is probably what most people want.

In this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDcvAUapVec the guy is adding a huge amount of micro balloons!
