Hobbyking have now released the XT30 connectors

These look like a good connector for beetleweights!

No, but they are much easier to grip than the two pin XT60 connectors. I found that 12mm glue-lined heatshrink from Jaycar is a perfect fit on these connectors, so you can add strain relief and extra gripping surface.

Most pleasing

IDK why it took them so long to release these

If a two pin connector handles 60A, wouldn't a three pin connector handle a third more current? Even if it was re-rated a bit because the pins are close together and the shell might not dissipate the heat well, the connector should still be good for 75A IMHO.

It'll be the per pin rating, not the whole plug.
I'm surprised they don't do it for the plug and call the 60A one 120A

Heard about this yesterday. Australia Post has opened up a warehouse in Oregon (US) to give Australians a US address. http://www.9news.com.au/national/2014/11/05/12/13/aust-post-sets-up-warehouse-in-us
Apparently they are charging $24.95 a parcel and $5.95 per 500gm.

nobody, but you might buy something (say a phone?) that has a battery in it.
We even get in trouble with sending a torch powered by a coin cell through the post.

@ Angus: You can try buying from McMaster but since mid-year, I can't even look at product pages, I just get a "suspicious user activity" message. It looks like if you browse too much without buying they block you. Mad I would look at MSC or Grainger, both happy to ship where ever you want and pay with an Aussie card.

Just remember the fine print on the shipping costs; they either charge by the actual weight or by the volumetric weight, whichever is greater. If your widget is packed in a huge box, the shipping might be higher than you expected.
