Hey Guys,

We use 3D scanners in the studio and they're really quite crap... the sense is only 'just' good enough at getting people size things...

The only scanner I can think of for small things would be a 2nd hand next engine scanner - one of these. They're slow as but do get high detail. Probably around 1K second hand. http://www.nextengine.com/

Realistically miles the camera. One you got is probably going to be the best you can do.

I don't know of any other tech which. Doesn't care about scale.

I know a bunch of guys who do 3d reconstruction at uni so if you have a massive photo set and will to offer a bit of cash for best reconstruction them I could ask them to throw it through their research software.

Hey guys thanks for the fed back….the camera was just my iPhone with 123d catch it on it…the main problem i was having with that was i didn't know how to make my scan a solid "sculptable" solid…the obj file was hollow and when i tried to re-sculpt it in sculptris it ripped holes in it. will try it again.
