Robowars 2014 - October 4-5th 2014 - IAG QLD

Not sure on any of the details but thought I would get everyone to put a placeholder in for the October long weekend the same as last year.

Regards

Steve

Well guys few developments have happened since this topic started and a few things have changed.

Firstly there is the EB expo which is bringing the UK robots over.
Second I will not be able to attend this weekend as I have other commitments.
Third is I have not heard from the gallery in a few months after I touched base mentioning this date.

So.....thoughts ideas plans?

Steve

Iguess we need to get in contact with the gallery to see if they are still interested in those dates.

Sad to hear you can't make it this year Steve…but you did move to Canberra he he.

What do the Sydney guys think…would you rather go to eb games or nats at the ipswich art gallery? (if its on at the same dates)

The EB games Expo is basically a promo event, no actual matches as such. I would much rather have our usual Nats event.

Nats should happen regardless.

Real question is should we keep it that weekend. Or would it be worth pushing back date or moving one weekend either side?

Should we consider running Nationals as a non-public event?
Less pressure to make it interesting for the crowd and we can just focus on fights.

The gallery was a top class venue and apart from the parking it was great to have all the nearby facilities. What happened to the venues in Brisbane? We got a huge crowd in that stadium and the event at the maker space was OK too.
