Everyone I talk to about Robot wars that has not been involved with it before suggests some of the same things; liquids or adhesives, EMP devices, entangling weapons, untethered projectiles, radio jamming, etc. I have to patiently explain to each of these people that they're illegal, and for good reason - in the same way that every sport ends up with rules to ensure fairness, good sportsmanship and an entertaining show for both players and fans. It's not to stifle creativity, its simple experience that teaches you this is the way it should be.
Is it school holidays or something? _________________ <Patrician|Away> what does your robot do, sam
<bovril> it collects data about the surrounding environment, then discards it and drives into walls
