Robot specific tools
Boredom induced, pointless thread comin' right up!
Well sometimes even CAD does not solve all design issues, and you just have to make a tool yourself to get around a problem you never saw coming. Be it filing down an allen key to fit the mind bendingly retardedly sized bolt the whyachi switches use the night before an event, to machining down a socket to fit into a bored out pocket (suck on them rhymes ) and all the rest.
So post em up! Hell, it doesn't have to be robot specific, any one made for a car/bike/machine tool/whatever the heck will do. I'm just a bit fascinated with the ingenious stuff people come up with at the moment
Here's a couple to get the ball rolling.
The Extendotron: Just lathed a bit of rod from a dumpster as a hideous drill extension to drill an akward set of holes in demon. I use it a heck of a lot too XD
The tool formerly known as a socket: Given it was built on a whim, my little 4wd antweight needed a special socket to install the axle nuts, i couldnt make the holes they were reccessed into big enough without it coming near the belt groove, so this was the next best thing

Do you remember where you got the 2.75 mm drill bit? _________________ So even the rain that falls isn't actually going to fill our dams and our river systems
