cassie was thinking of a bot based on a rabbit.
IE some kind of spring powered hopping foot thing with some kind of rotational doohickey to turn.
ant or beetle class.
I was wondering, since it doesn't have wheels, and has no "shuffle" or other cheat, is it a walker? _________________ Mechanical engineers build weapons, civil engineers build targets
Yes, but ask your local EO. I am inclined to give any robot with an inventive locomotion system the bonus _________________ Steven Martin

Technically, IIRC, the rules say multiple independantly actuated degrees of freedom for the drive elements..
So cams, levers, square/offset wheels, shuffle plates etc are all just funny shaped wheels when you eliminate the smoke and mirrors.
Practically however, if you have something cool in mind that shows a novel form of motivation and isnt an obvious attempt to gain a weight bonus that is then used to the benefit of the armour or weapons systems rather than enabling the funky-drive system, then I would imagine most EO's and Competitors wouldnt have a problem with it.
Its only when bush lawyers wrap a disguised wheel system to get the bonus around 2 x E-Teks that people get narky _________________ Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people
