Dalek Thread

Low priority at the moment but still determined to get my Dalek together.
Thinking one of those cheap 9 channel radios

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/2-4Ghz-RC-Plane-9Ch-Digital-Programmable-LCD-Radio-Gear_W0QQitemZ290329378767QQcmdZViewItemQQptZFR_YO_Jeux_RadioComRobots_VehiculesRadiocommandes?hash=item4398fabfcf&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14.l1262&_trkparms=%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A30

Might be the go to work everything.

What, Only *9* Channels, No Holographic Interface ? Wink

Hmm, you could put a green rubber mutated octopus with servoes inside and make it wiggle about with that many channels, (although the number of people who actually know that Daleks are not Robots, but Mutant Cyborgs is probably pretty low and they wouldnt get it)

Yeah, but they can't fly up spiral stair cases!

Old photo of the Ultibot day at the quarry.

I have lots of other parts but haven’t assembled them.

He was mobile and took part in the exercise; I wont call it a battle.

I was happy with the 9-channel radio idea but perhaps this might be better.

We have our imax 9X from Hobbycity now, i have spent some time to get to know the interface and im pretty fluent with it, brain kinda hurts from getting to know the 24 menu's O.O, glad to say that i can now make all of the servo's twitch at my own accord, that said the controllers beaping at me now and i really dont know why, perhaps the batterys getting flat or maybe thats just the sound it makes when the timers turned on (has its own stop watch...could be handy for 3 minute fight clock).

The controller can talk to cheap 6 servo recievers which is handy, loose a $25 reciever rather than a more costly alternative...so we can mount the 9 channel reciever permanently in the dalek and share the controller around, it has 8 model memories
