Marayong Season 6, Round 4 - August 29th

Still plenty of time before the next event, but we all know how fast the weeks go by - the time to fix up the bot is now! It looks like the usual suspects are all ready or nearly ready to go.

I dunno, you cracked her pretty hard last event, she might not be up for such rough handling again. Laughing

should be there, still cleaning and organising garage at moment

still have not taken rapture apart yet, am thinking it needs a re-design so still learning cad so may look into them 24 volt hammerdrills i got and throwing together a fast lil robot with them and the sidewinder i have.

if not should be able to patch rapture back into shape but wanna keep it aside till i get it fully cadded up and the rebuild completed looking towards battleshed or robowars in jan next year for it

Bort and I have got Slave running with 24v drill drives now, its looking good in the drive department this time!

Not sure what kind of weapon will be ready in time but Slave should be in for the event in any case

sorry all but i cant make next event

got designs parts and half builds out thw wing wang but alot of it will be rushed and i wouldnt be able to produce something ill be proud of by next event so will give it a miss and will focus heavily on next one after that

my apologies to all for my tardyness, alot has changed with looking for a house to rent/sorting myself out a little to starting a new job in two weeks time ive been very thinly spread with alot lately.

A rebuild of rapture will happen for battleshed hopefully as well as a few new projects and if i can scrounge cheap parts from new job soon maybe a random large robot project in nexr future also Very Happy

but yeah in short no go for this event, if i can help on the day awesome but wont have a robot done and will do my best to have one or two bots done for event after that.

yeah due to the lack of interest.. i wont be going to any more events unless there is a decent turn out..

its just too much of a hassle to get ready and take the long drive to each event for only like 2 or 3 fights..

being a good 2 1/2 hours from the event and still manage to get to every single one, even when i have school and work and other commitments taking up all my time i still manage to get some form of working robot going.. everyone else just isn't trying hard enough xD...

So yeah bigger turn outs and i'll be there no worries...

Very Happy Dylon, I understand your decision and i have been nothing but amazed at yours and your families efforts to make 99% of the battles.
I hope in the future more enthusiasm can be musted to make the numbers a bit more worth everyones while.cheers chris Wink

yep I with Dylon Why go if there is not much happening!
We could try getting so more members it would solve most of the problems That is if all existing members are up to it of course.......It may not be convenient but not hard either ..just takes bit of your time.

Or is this the last event?????????????

maybe we should chip in $2 each so dylon can get a new belt. or maybe just a shoulder to cry on Laughing mwahha

serious though newcastle is a mighty fair way to go. even going to wollongong for my 2nd hobby is a bit far. i get mightily pissed if i get 2 goes on the track and it gets washed out, say

maybe 1 event per 2 months? make the fighting for points a bit more crucial and try get everyone to be there. id say give everyone more time to build but i know the vast majority will leave it 1 extra month before building the night before anyway Laughing

no lack of motivation from me. just a lack of a replacement brushless speed controller. ARGH Evil or Very Mad
