I haven't used them in a bot yet, but I would agree with Jake; the motor should be fine mechanically unless you put a large side load on the shaft. Plan B used multi-groove belts that didn't need anywhere the tension of regular v-belts so its motor never had problems. I would look at using a timing belt like Angus (think it's an AT10 size) - very little tension needed. On these motors, I don't think the brushes can be changed - ever. Bigger brushes were just in my 'what if' design.
Scissorhands is almost finished and will be at the first event of the year - its only a broken wrist and slackness that kept it away from Robowars. _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion
