Ah thats good news, last year you had a big night event thing and we were expecting to be able to setup pits but couldn't.
So this year, we can setup our tables friday?
Thanks

I like the Coke sponsorship - if it goes thru, you should divide the bots into a regular VS diet coke teams and run a separate points system so someone can win a robo-coke trophy Very Happy

On a sidenote.....

I have become good friends with Barley Corn Brewers (down the road from Sidetracked - see www.barleycornbrewers.com.au ) where you use their gear to brew your beer - and I can tell you it is a lot of fun - and the rewards are very nice indeed!

I have got them to be a sponsor as well (1 carton of beer).

But.....I was wondering who might be interested in a get-together at Barley Corn on the Saturday night of competition - to put down a Robowars Brew (I suggest VIC residents only - as we need to go back 2-3 weeks later to bottle the brew). If we order in Pizza - and have a few nibblies - I anticipate a cost of around $40.00 per person - which would include a slab of Robo-Brew. IF you are an Interstater - then you can come and eat pizza and hang with your fellow competitors (I will work out a cost later)

Anyone interested? I would need about 12 people to make it viable - email me at goodtime@sidetracked.com.au

Cheers - Mark

Would they be able to sponsor a bottle of CO2 for the builders that require gas?

TDT - ummmm - no!

On another sidenote..............

It has almost become custom to finish off Sunday with our own special 'Wacky Race' - and this year will be no different - but with a TWIST.

Half the competitors will start 1 way - the other half will start the other way. Should be interesting.

I think Jason is the only one down this way with a paint ball filling adapter and Co2 bottle.

When I asked Brett today he thought Jason might make it to Robowars.
If not Brett might be able to borrow the gear.

I can supply a fill station if anyone needs one. I won't need gas, but I'm happy to lend my gear out if it's needed. Just need a fill bottle...

Alrighty so if i can get the filling setup, then i just need to get some gas.

Someone mentioned a boc nearby, is it possible to go there and get my bottles filled there without hireing a whole tank or somesuch? or if not does someone know how others have done it in the past?

My brother jetted it out while I was driving the hire car too.
We won't be there but a tank from BOC will cost about $30 and last all weekend.

Just wondering for event organisers, I want to change the name and picture of the robot i've entered, but because it's already got an entry # and place that should be right? If not i'll revert it. Smile
