Ricks Rules
.... This is the name rotwang (very loudly) demanded we name our trial of judging fights without consideration to damage or style.. as it appeared he felt that I was forcing everyone into it and the only person who was interested in trying it was me and so it should be named after me?.
What actually happened was slightly different ..
The final decision to trial any rule changes has and always will remain with the "event god" and in this case its Daniel. Daniel has shown that he is happy to listen to the builders and their concerns. After consultation with daniel and allowing ALL victorian builders the oppertunity to voice opinions before we decided on how to judge the fight - only one person actually objected to trying something new with the other builders unconcerned about any changes and happy to see if they are worth doing.
If any of the other builders who were present at the event feel I am not telling the truth , feel free to post here and tell me.
A lot was learnt from the last event , and some adaptations will be made to the sheduling , judging and the arena as the competition develops .It is only by being prepared to try new things that we may find improvements and isnt that how we develop our robots ..
And - No we wont call it "Ricks Rules" as it actually isnt ..

Page 1 just so you know.
I should add, control could be weapon control also. if a weapon either misses more often than not, or it fails to do what was said it should, that should count against the builder/driver. _________________ Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.
