the chassis is heaps better on the new one, and it has a watercooled engine ( + radiator) and an extra 6kw
and btw what was the last name of that chick that was with you at manson? after recovering from a mad case of huge drunkeness i think i went to school with her! XD _________________ www.demon50s.com - Minimoto parts

Impressive! Do you think it will go for much less than the $900 USD asking price at Team Delta? _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

well at the moment its
$250us for the motor alone
$400 for the controller
$105 aus for shipping.
so i hope it should be a fairly cheap conversion and lead to a full scale electric motorbike in the future. like me and jake where saying its expensive to begin with but i guess its the same as buying all your petrol before you buy the car _________________ www.demon50s.com - Minimoto parts

Actually, its like getting your parents to buy all the petrol before you buy the car! Its a shame Dan isn't selling off the controllers on ebay too. _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

need some money and can only race one bike at a time so my baby has to go -
The bike is a grc replica frame custom made out of 20mm thick aluminium. i had it specially made for the bike and it weighs 4kg less then the stock frame and it is about 40-50mm longer at the front so great for the bigger person. its also a dream to ride with the steering damper. turn in is great.
The motor is a ported out 40cc 5 port motor. crankcase has some mild porting but it needs to be ported out a bit more to match the cylinder (the cylinder porting is fairly extreme!). cracks very hard for a 40cc. its also unique in that the gearbox does not run in oil like the original which is a restrictive setup due to the 5 oil seals - runs dry so spins very free!
so yeah this bike cost $550 initially and i have dumped well over that into it again. unfortunately as things go you never get the money back so taking a big hit to sell it at $600 ONO.
Parts on the bike
- 40cc 5 port barrell
- Polini coil
- Polini blue reeds
- Polini water pump belt
- Blata coolant bottle
- polini pullstart
- polini clutch cover
Spare parts with the bike
- one COMPLETE frame (the original steel one)
- one complete motor with 19mm rep carb
- one performance pipe and stock pipe which have been modded a bit
- spare chain
- spare coil
- spare 3 port 40cc cylinder with head
- spare radiator
